Don't forget to make some memories!

The Mother Lie

The Mother Lie

If you’re not among them, you know many women who are victims of the mother lie. You know, the one that says that motherhood isn’t important, isn’t vital. It’s a lie that has devastated families and thereby devastated nations. It was birthed in the bowels of darkness, a message demeaning the significance of motherhood.

But we are mothers by God’s design. Fearfully and wonderfully, He knit within us the vessels through which He would deliver every individual who would ever take a breath here on earth. Without us, without you….pause and think about it.

And consider Mary. She washed baby bottoms and swaddling cloths, bandaged wounds, wiped away tears, fed her family, played with her children, maintained their home, resolved conflict among siblings, and planted the holy seed of biblical truth deep within their hearts.

I’m here to sear this message into your soul. Precious mothers, you are those who determine the destinies of individuals and nations. And now, more than ever, the world needs you to rise up, unify, inspire and pray for one another.

During the eighteen summers we are called to raise up God-honoring daughters of destiny, we must convey the greatness of this calling. During the eighteen summers we have to raise up God-honoring sons of destiny, we must impart a reverence for this wonder.

Father God,

Thank You for entrusting us with such inestimable treasure (Ps. 127:3).

Thank You for the spiritual authority You have given us

to raise up children who will lead vast multitudes in Your light and truth.

Lead us to mothers who are wrestling with their roles,

that we might run this race together

against the strong, dark powers of cultural influence.

Bless our children—Your children—Father,

with faith, reverence, and a relentless passion

for You, Your Word, Your Will, Your Wisdom, Your World, and holiness.

Thank You for each destiny-defining moment

that comes our way as we turn the hearts of nations

by turning the hearts of mothers, fathers, and children.

May Your Truth penetrate our hearts and minds so deeply

that we resist, deny, expose and defy the mother lie.

Now take this message and run with it.

When Jesus returns, everyone will be gathered and divided based upon attitudes and actions (Matt. 25:31-39).

Did they feed the hungry?

Give drink to the thirsty?

Care for those in need?

Our ministry begins in our home.

“Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these…

you did it to Me.”

Matthew 25:31-40 NKJV

When we stand before King Jesus, may it be said of us,

“Well done, good and faithful servant!

You have been faithful with a few things;

I will put you in charge of many things.

Come and share your master’s happiness!”

Matthew 25:21 NIV
